Synopsis:
With the school holidays almost upon us, we're excited to announce that our Improv Theatre Youth Camps are back! We are running four camps over the summer holiday period at our South Bridge Road Studio from 13 June-17 June, 20-24 June, 27 June - 1 July and 11-15 July.
Here at TIC, we believe that improvisational theatre is for everyone, and you don't have to be a grown-up to tell a great story.
At our Youth Camps, teenagers (12 to 17 years old) can enjoy a hearty serving of improv merriment during the school holidays. Over the course of five days, your kids will learn the ropes of improv, acting, and drama alongside fellow youths. The syllabus includes more games and less theory compared to our standard adult course; this means that attendees can focus on having fun while building their stage confidence!
Each session will focus on a specific aspect of improv, such as character development, narrative construction, and stage etiquette. Participants will grow important skills (listening, creativity, yes and-ing), learn acting techniques, and create compelling stories with their fellow improvisers... all while having a lot of fun!
