Synopsis:

Queers is a smart, funny, heartbreaking, (and heartwarming!) show that explores the lived experience of LGBT people over the decades, and the evolution of prevailing social attitudes towards them. The characters are fictional, but the stories are real. And, woven into the fabric of these stories, is the true history of the parliamentary legislation that led to the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Britain. It took a long long time!

The show was commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of the 'Wolfenden Report' of 1957 with the UK's best queer writers invited to create one piece each (curated and edited by Mark Gatiss). Every piece is written from a unique historical perspective. Queers Vol 1 shows four of these charming monologues.
