Synopsis:

Learn about some of the final battles before Singapore fell to the Japanese in World War II (WWII). Join Beng Tang from All Things Bukit Brown in his sharing about the fighting which took place on Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year, 14-15 February 1942, between elements of the battle-hardened Japanese 5th division and the part-time soldiers of the British 18th division, at Sime Road Golf Course, Bukit Brown Cemetery, and Mount Pleasant estate.

About the speaker
Beng Tang is a volunteer nature and heritage guide who leads tours on the history of WWII and the biodiversity of Bukit Brown.

All Things Bukit Brown is a group of volunteers who record the heritage, habitat and history of Bukit Brown and its surrounding area, and the history of Singapore since 1819.
