Synopsis:
Join us at Kolam Ayer for a morning of creativity and community spirit as we celebrate PAssionArts Festival.
Start your day by participating in the tote bag craft activities to repurpose old t-shirts into stylish and eco-friendly tote bags and use "ugly" fruits and vegetables like lotus roots, ladyfingers, and potatoes as stamps to create creative and colourful designs.
Don't miss Joyful Donuts Tree by local artist Casey Chen, a delightful interactive installation inviting residents to challenge each other to a game of Tic Tac Toe using coloured donuts. Grab your friends and family and snap a photo with the colourful interactive installation!
Community artist Anne Neo will host a colouring art booth to raise awareness for an upcoming post-festival mural project, Community of Care GB. This project consists of five murals combined to tell a story of community living in Geylang Bahru. The mural was designed around the PAssionArts Festival's theme of "Palettes of Joy" and sustainability, depicting various aspects of community life, local food culture, and the spirit of togetherness in Geylang Bahru.
Residents can participate in a children's colouring contest with designs adapted from these murals. Their completed designs will be turned into personalised postcards to take home. Residents and volunteers are also invited to contribute to the life-sized mural painting from 14 to 17 September 2024 at Geylang Bahru.
