Synopsis:

Type-Writer in Residence is a little initiative to bring you the comfort of old school letter writing or typing in this case. In this day and age, our reliance on technology to save some of our most precious moments has superseded the dependability of pen and paper, but what if technology fails us? All our digital photographs and letters will be gone with little in the way of recovering them. So join our letter writer at a boothduring one of your programme sessions and he will help you type out a message/
an sms/a memory for safekeeping, or a reply for you to hand to that other person in hardcopy. Some things feel better in paper.

This programme is part of the National Library Board's PRESSPLAY, an annual youth festival aimed to celebrate the impact of arts in young people's lives. Now in its fourth year running, PRESSPLAY collaborates with local studios, independent artisans and design collectives to offer a myriad of arts programmes from 14 Jan - 18 Mar 2017.
