Synopsis:
On the evening of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, join us for the kick-off of our 16 Days of Activism. On this occasion, we will be screening Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's Academy-Award winning documentary A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness (2015). Set in Pakistan, the documentary follows the story of an eighteen-year-old girl who survives an honour killing attempt by her father and uncle. Following the screening, we will have an interactive discussion surrounded the issues featured in the film.
