Synopsis:

Colours in Motion is a hands-on approach to learning and expressing through two mediums — dancing and painting. Using the body as the medium of brush, the project encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration with peers in creative production.
We are seeking 8 artists and 8 dancers to join us on this experimental journey.

There will be a full day workshop on 15 July, 9-5pm where participants will experience the creative and expressive nuances of these arts as well as discover strong linkages that exist between them. The workshop will also explore methods & techniques that are similar yet different in both arts through a blend of movement activities, painting and play with colours. Interspersed with these activities we will engage in verbal dialogues and reflection to deepen and enrich our experiences.

On the following week, 21 July, 9-11am, there will be an arts jam for us to come together again to practice what we have learnt as we continue to create visual works through the process of dancing and painting.

Selected artworks will be exhibited at an arts showcase in August 2016.

Prerequisite
• 18-35 years old
• 8 Artists preferably to have some painting background
• 8 Dancers of any genre
• Available for both Arts workshop and Arts Jam
